2021 Student Leadership Team
We had a successful Livestream event under the expert management of Mr Ian Munn and the Entertainment class. Eight exceptional young people presented speeches to the staff and students in classes around the school in which they described their willingness and ability to undertake a leadership role at Yass high School. I was very impressed with the focus that each one gave to the service to others as the keystone of their leadership values.
The four students who received the greatest votes (irrespective of gender) will be appointed to the positions of School Captain (ranks 1 and 2) and Vice Captains (ranks 3 and 4).
It is with great pride that I introduce the leadership team for 2021:
School Captains: Chrissie Davis Corinne Green
Vice captains: Calvin Morgan Jacob Garner
Prefects: Aimee Vitler,Thomas Bell, Nicholas Hinds, Callum Ironside
This team will be able to build on the work on the 2020 Leadership Team which continues to promote the school and support the students and staff during an extremely tough year that came without a blueprint for success. This year that has been defined by COVID-19 has made visible the resilience, strength and focus of our student leaders. I am confident this will continue with the new team and feel assured that Yass High School is in great hands next year.
