Return to Face to Face Learning Monday 13th
Dear Parents and Carers,
As you are probably aware, Yass Valley's lockdown will be lifted on Saturday 11th September at 12.01am. This means that Yass High School will be operational again on Monday 13th September for all students on Level 3 restrictions.
A few initial key points on these restrictions:
- All staff and all students in Years 7-12 will be required to wear masks indoors AND outdoors - some exemptions are allowed.
- Non-essential visitors are not permitted in schools.
- Intermingling of student cohorts is not permitted therefore we will move to Year Group meetings and sport rather than whole school assemblies or sport.
- SRE (Special Religious Education) will not proceed.
- Speech nights and award presentations are on hold.
- School orientation programs are on hold.
I am receiving further details from the NSW Department of Education throughout this afternoon and will share an update with you as soon as I have all relevant information.
Thank you all for your support of the school during this time. We appreciate the difficulty of supervising your children in learning from home and congratulate you in your continued growth in this area. I am hopeful that we will not remain at Level 3 for too long and will return to Level 2 before the end of the year. As always, I will share updates with you as soon as these become available.
